Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (or substitute with ground turkey or plant-based alternative)
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup Taco Bell chipotle sauce (adjust to taste)
- 6 large flour tortilla wraps
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and cook the frozen tater tots according to the package instructions until golden and crispy.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess grease.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked beef, crispy tater tots, shredded cheddar, and monterey jack cheeses.
- Warm the flour tortillas for 10–15 seconds to make them pliable.
- Spoon the filling onto each tortilla, drizzle with chipotle sauce, and add a dollop of sour cream.
- Fold the burrito sides over the filling, then fold the bottom up and roll tightly.
- Place burritos seam-side down in a baking dish, sprinkle with additional cheese, and bake 5–7 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot with optional diced tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro.
Notes
- Warming tortillas helps prevent cracking and makes rolling easier.
- Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based protein if desired.
- Increase chipotle sauce or add fresh jalapeños for extra spice.
- Leftover burritos can be refrigerated up to 3 days and reheated.
