- 1 pound smoked sausage (halal-certified, no pork)
- 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (halal-certified)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and halve or quarter the baby potatoes.
- Slice smoked sausage into 1/4-inch rounds.
- In a small bowl, combine ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Toss potatoes with olive oil and half of the seasoning mixture.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment or grease lightly. Spread potatoes in a single layer and scatter sausage evenly on top.
- Roast for 35–40 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, and bake an additional 5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with sour cream if desired.
Notes
- Use different cheeses like mozzarella or Monterey Jack for variety.
- Add vegetables such as bell peppers, zucchini, or broccoli for extra nutrition.
- Adjust seasoning to taste for more or less spice.
