- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment.
- In a bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar. Add egg, honey, and vanilla; whisk until combined.
- Stir in flour, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon until just combined.
- Pour batter into pan. Mix granulated sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over batter.
- Bake 22–25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool completely before cutting.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container up to 4 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months.
- Add nuts, cream cheese swirl, or a pinch of cardamom for a twist.
- Use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend for gluten-free blondies.
- Cool fully before slicing for neat squares.
