  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion, and cook for about 7 minutes until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage and cook for about 8 minutes until softened.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream and sour cream. Mix until combined.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Swap in ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add mushrooms or bell peppers for extra veggies.
  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or cayenne.
