Creamy Ground Beef Bowtie Pasta with Mozzarella and Parmesan is a rich, cheesy comfort food dish featuring tender farfalle pasta, savory ground beef, and a luscious cream sauce infused with garlic and two kinds of cheese.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and cook for 6–8 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and beef broth. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Return cooked beef to the skillet, then add bowtie pasta. Toss well to coat with the creamy sauce.
  7. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
