Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 oz penne pasta (or your choice of pasta)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add broccoli to the pot. Drain and set aside.
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add cooked pasta, broccoli, and shrimp to the skillet. Toss until everything is well coated.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smooth, creamy sauce.
- Adjust cream quantity if you prefer a thinner or thicker sauce.
- Other vegetables like peas or spinach can be added for variety.
