This Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta with Broccoli is a rich, comforting dish featuring tender shrimp, perfectly cooked broccoli, and al dente pasta all tossed in a smooth, cheesy Alfredo sauce. Quick, easy, and perfect for weeknight dinners or a cozy weekend meal.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz penne pasta (or your choice of pasta)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add broccoli to the pot. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add cooked pasta, broccoli, and shrimp to the skillet. Toss until everything is well coated.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smooth, creamy sauce.
  • Adjust cream quantity if you prefer a thinner or thicker sauce.
  • Other vegetables like peas or spinach can be added for variety.
