- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
- Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet; sauté 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits from the pan.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; add heavy cream, sour cream, and shredded cheese. Stir until combined.
- Return chicken to the skillet; simmer 10 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
- Spoon chicken and creamy sauce over cooked rice. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic and onions for best flavor.
- Let the sauce thicken for a richer texture.
- Sear chicken well to lock in juices.
