Ingredients

- 8 ounces uncooked pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup heavy/whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Freshly grated parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta al dente according to package instructions.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in tomato paste, tomato sauce, cream, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add a pinch of sugar if sauce is too acidic.
- Drain pasta and toss with sauce. Add a splash of pasta water if needed. Serve immediately with parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Do not substitute the cream with lower-fat alternatives to avoid curdling.
