These Air Fryer Apple Fries are a fun, crispy-sweet treat you’ll want to make again and again! Fresh apple slices are coated in a light cinnamon-sugar breading, then air-fried until golden and crunchy on the outside while staying tender inside. Serve them warm with caramel sauce or whipped cream for an irresistible snack or dessert.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep apples: Peel (optional) and cut apples into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Set up coating stations: Bowl 1 with flour. Bowl 2 whisk egg and milk. Bowl 3 mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Coat apples: Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat well with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Air fry: Lightly spray coated apple fries with nonstick spray. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
  5. Cook: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve: Enjoy warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes

  • Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apples work best for this recipe.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure crispiness.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture.
