- 2 pounds steak cut into bite size pieces (sirloin, london broil, chuck roast, or stew beef)
- 1 cup Dr. Pepper
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the steak bites quickly for just a few seconds on each side to get a little color.
- Add the steak bites to the crockpot.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Dr. Pepper, honey, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the steak bites.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the steak bites are fork tender.
- If the sauce is too thin at the end of cooking, combine the water with cornstarch and stir into the sauce to thicken.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or in sliders for a crowd-pleasing meal.
- Use any preferred cut of beef that is suitable for slow cooking.
- Adjust sweetness with more or less honey and brown sugar.
