Crispy tater tots, seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, sour cream, and nacho cheese sauce wrapped in warm flour tortillas. A Taco Bell copycat that’s better than the original and ready in 30 minutes.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 burritos

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups frozen tater tots
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce (plus extra for dipping)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and spread frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  2. While tater tots bake, brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no pink remains. Drain grease, then add taco seasoning and a splash of water, stirring to coat.
  3. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side or microwave briefly until pliable.
  4. Lay tortilla flat and spread nacho cheese sauce down the center. Add beef, tater tots, shredded cheese, and sour cream.
  5. Fold sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom. Cut in half and serve with extra nacho cheese sauce.

Notes

  • Bake tater tots until crispy for best texture.
  • Do not overfill tortillas to prevent tearing.
  • Warm tortillas before assembling.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven.
