Easy Crockpot Chicken Marsala is an Italian-inspired dish with tender chicken breasts slow-cooked in a rich Marsala wine sauce with garlic and mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, chicken broth, and Marsala wine.
  4. Place chicken in the crockpot, pour the sauce over it, and top with sliced mushrooms.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until chicken is tender.
  6. Stir in heavy cream before serving.
