  • 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef and cook until softened, 3–4 minutes.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Layer the sliced potatoes over the beef. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the potatoes.
  7. Pour beef broth around the edges of the dish.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
