Ingredients

  • 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 tablespoons Traeger Fin & Feather Rub
  • 1 stick unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 200°F.
  2. Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then season generously with Traeger Fin & Feather Rub.
  3. Place the chicken breasts directly on the smoker grill and insert a temperature probe into one breast.
  4. Smoke until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (about 40–60 minutes).
  5. Remove the chicken, wrap each breast in aluminum foil with a pad of butter on top.
  6. Increase smoker temperature to 350°F and return the wrapped chicken to the grill.
  7. Continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (about 20 more minutes).
  8. Remove, unwrap, and serve with vegetables and BBQ sauce if desired.
