- 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 tablespoons Traeger Fin & Feather Rub
- 1 stick unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 200°F.
- Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then season generously with Traeger Fin & Feather Rub.
- Place the chicken breasts directly on the smoker grill and insert a temperature probe into one breast.
- Smoke until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (about 40–60 minutes).
- Remove the chicken, wrap each breast in aluminum foil with a pad of butter on top.
- Increase smoker temperature to 350°F and return the wrapped chicken to the grill.
- Continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (about 20 more minutes).
- Remove, unwrap, and serve with vegetables and BBQ sauce if desired.

- Always cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
