- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix cooked beef, cooked rice, condensed soup, and sour cream until well combined.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the dish and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use day-old rice for better texture and flavor absorption.
- Swap mozzarella with Gruyère or provolone for a flavor twist.
