Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 cup Long-Grain White Rice (uncooked)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper and drain excess fat if necessary.
- Push beef to one side. Add minced garlic to empty space and sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
- Sprinkle in onion powder and Cajun seasoning; stir to coat beef evenly.
- Pour in uncooked rice and beef broth. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 18-20 minutes until rice is cooked and liquid mostly absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat. Fold in Parmesan and Cheddar cheese until sauce is thick and creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve immediately, garnished with extra cheese or chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- To keep rice from drying out, add a splash of beef broth or water when reheating.
