For the Decoration
- Sprinkles or edible eyes (optional for decoration)
Equipment
- Food processor
- Mixing bowl
- Spatula
- Parchment paper
- Microwave-safe bowl
Instructions
- Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese until well blended and smooth.
- Scoop portions of the mixture and roll into balls, shaping them into ghost-like figures.
- Place the truffles onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill for about 15 minutes.
- Melt the white chocolate in short 20–30 second bursts in the microwave, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Dip each ghost truffle into the melted white chocolate, letting excess drip off.
- Before the coating sets, add sprinkles or edible eyes for decoration.
- Let the truffles sit at room temperature until the chocolate hardens completely, about 30 minutes.
Notes
- These truffles can stay out for a couple of hours during parties but keep them cool for the best texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
- Use candy melts for a smoother, glossier coating if desired.
