- For the Beef:
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank, cut into cubes
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper
- For the Pineapple:
- 1.5 cups fresh pineapple, cubed
- Honey-Garlic Glaze:
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thicker glaze)
- Garnish:
- Parsley or rosemary
Instructions
- Sear the Beef: Season beef cubes with salt, pepper, soy sauce, and olive oil. Heat a pan on high and sear beef until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Pineapple: In the same pan, lightly sear pineapple until caramelized.
- Make the Glaze: Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar or lemon juice, garlic, and chili flakes. Simmer 1–2 minutes. Add cornstarch slurry if thicker glaze is desired.
- Combine: Return beef and pineapple to the pan and toss until glossy and coated.
- Serve: Transfer to a bowl, garnish with herbs, and enjoy warm.
Notes
- Use fresh pineapple for best caramelization.
- For extra heat, add more chili flakes or a drizzle of sriracha.
- Great served over rice, noodles, or as an appetizer.
