  • Total Time: 22 mins
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Beef:
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank, cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper
  • For the Pineapple:
  • 1.5 cups fresh pineapple, cubed
  • Honey-Garlic Glaze:
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thicker glaze)
  • Garnish:
  • Parsley or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Sear the Beef: Season beef cubes with salt, pepper, soy sauce, and olive oil. Heat a pan on high and sear beef until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook the Pineapple: In the same pan, lightly sear pineapple until caramelized.
  3. Make the Glaze: Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar or lemon juice, garlic, and chili flakes. Simmer 1–2 minutes. Add cornstarch slurry if thicker glaze is desired.
  4. Combine: Return beef and pineapple to the pan and toss until glossy and coated.
  5. Serve: Transfer to a bowl, garnish with herbs, and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh pineapple for best caramelization.
  • For extra heat, add more chili flakes or a drizzle of sriracha.
  • Great served over rice, noodles, or as an appetizer.
