- 1 pound ground beef (85% lean)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add sliced onions and cook 10–12 minutes until golden and caramelized.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Drain excess fat, then stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Toast hamburger buns until golden brown.
- Scoop beef mixture onto bottom halves of buns, top with Swiss cheese, and cover with top halves.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Optional garnish with parsley adds freshness and color.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 2–3 days and reheated on the stovetop or in the microwave.
