Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups chopped cabbage
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar substitute
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce or coconut aminos, brown sugar substitute, and red pepper flakes. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Add chopped cabbage to the skillet. Stir to coat, then cover and cook for 5–6 minutes until tender.
- Top with chopped green onions and serve hot.
Notes
- Use pre-shredded cabbage to save on prep time.
- To increase the sauce volume, double the sauce ingredients and add 1–2 tablespoons of water.
- For a gluten-free version, use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
