A flavorful and hearty dish featuring tender ground beef cooked in a savory Mongolian-style sauce, served over tender noodles. Quick, easy, and perfect for a weeknight dinner!

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 250 g egg noodles (or preferred noodles)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup water or beef broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking apart as it cooks.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and water or broth. Pour into skillet, stir, and simmer 3–5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add red pepper flakes if desired, stir well.
  6. Toss in cooked noodles, mixing until coated with sauce and beef.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Add veggies like bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas for more flavor and nutrition. For a sweeter variation, mix in a little hoisin sauce. Adjust spice to taste by increasing or omitting red pepper flakes.
