  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook bacon until crispy, then crumble.
  3. Sauté onions and mushrooms until softened. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine beef, pork, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan, bacon, Swiss cheese, onions, mushrooms, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp ketchup, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  5. Shape mixture into a loaf in a greased baking dish. Spread remaining ketchup over top.
  6. Bake 60-70 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
