Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni or pasta of choice
- 3 cups water
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, freshly grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1.5 tbsp paprika (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1.5 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Grate the cheese and prepare all ingredients.
- Add dried macaroni and water to a pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium-low.
- Cook pasta until al dente, allowing most of the water to evaporate while leaving a little in the pot.
- Lower heat and add cream, cheeses, seasonings, mustard, and sugar.
- Stir continuously until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.
- Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
Notes
- Use 1–2 cups more water than pasta to ensure proper cooking.
- Swap cheeses as desired.
- Sugar balances flavor without making the dish sweet.
- Add more water if pasta dries before fully cooked.
