- 6 medium fresh peaches (about 2–2.5 lbs), sliced (peeling optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, toss peach slices with lemon juice, sugar, flour, and vanilla. Pour into prepared dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in cold butter using a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly.
- Stir in oats and pecans. Sprinkle over peaches.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until topping is golden and juices are bubbling.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
Notes
Optional: Serve with vanilla ice cream for a classic touch. Can substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds.
