Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 to 1.75 pounds skin-on salmon fillet
- 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- 2–3 tablespoons honey
- 5 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Place salmon skin-side down on a foil sheet with edges raised to contain the buttery mixture.
- Nestle lemon slices under salmon.
- Melt butter in microwave-safe bowl. Stir in lemon juice, honey, and garlic. Pour three-quarters over salmon; reserve remainder.
- Season salmon with salt and pepper. Seal foil tightly; marinate 10–15 minutes if desired.
- Bake foil packet on a baking sheet for 17 minutes.
- Remove top foil, keeping edges raised. Broil salmon 5–10 minutes, optionally spooning reserved butter over top, until golden.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Broil on second rack if concerned about burning; watch closely.
- Salmon is best served fresh but keeps in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days.
