  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, extra garlic cloves, fresh oregano, sun-dried tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken in slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, mix chicken broth, marinara sauce, and Italian seasoning; pour over chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.
  5. In final 30 minutes, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan; continue cooking until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • Prep ingredients night before for convenience.
  • Refrigerate leftovers 3–4 days; freeze without cheese up to 3 months.
