Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 4 patties.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until desired doneness.
- Meanwhile, heat olive oil and butter in a separate pan. Sauté sliced mushrooms for 4–5 minutes until golden and tender.
- Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns if desired, then spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on each bun.
- Assemble burgers: bottom bun → cheese-topped patty → sautéed mushrooms → top bun.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for less grease.
- Add caramelized onions for an extra depth of flavor.
- Toast the buns for a crispier texture.
- For extra richness, swap in brioche buns.
