Ingredients

  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  3. Meanwhile, heat olive oil and butter in a separate pan. Sauté sliced mushrooms for 4–5 minutes until golden and tender.
  4. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns if desired, then spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on each bun.
  6. Assemble burgers: bottom bun → cheese-topped patty → sautéed mushrooms → top bun.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
