- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Sauté garlic for 30 seconds in the same pan.
- Add chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping browned bits.
- Stir in butter until melted into sauce.
- Add lemon slices and simmer 1–2 minutes.
- Return chicken and spoon sauce over top.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Do not overcook chicken to keep it juicy.
- Deglazing the pan adds extra flavor.
- Pairs well with rice or roasted vegetables.
