- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until just combined.
- Form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs on all sides (5–6 minutes). Transfer to slow cooker.
- In the same skillet, whisk flour into remaining oil and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in beef broth until smooth.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Pour gravy over meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours until tender.
- Serve over cooked rice and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a lighter version.
- Add mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
